Body scan signage
CATSA (Canadian Air Transport Security Authority) is a Crown corporation whose mandate is “to protect the public by effectively and efficiently screening air travellers and their baggage at designated airports in Canada.” As part of that mandate, CATSA is responsible for airport signage involving passenger and baggage screening.

One of the more controversial issues of airport security is the use of full-body scans. With the installation of full-body scanners in all major Canadian airports, CATSA hired me to design a pictogram-style decal to quickly, and wordlessly, explain to passengers the proper position to take within the scanner. After testing the signage at two key airports, it was deemed a success and implemented nationwide.
